David Harrington, long-time NPS employee, has been assigned as the temporary superintendent at the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument. David has more than 25 years with the park service and plans to return before the end of the year. He has indicated that a new, permanent superintendent will be named in the next few months. An interesting fact about David is that this assignment is the first time in his long career that he has been able to wear the standard, in-field, park service uniform. Although this is just a temporary assignment, David had to purchase a new uniform just for this short period. He has already been a guest at the annual meeting of the Custer Battlefield Historical & Museum Association at the old superintendent's stone house at the battlefield.
